April 2021 President’s Message
Spring is finally here and it is time to get out and enjoy our warmer and longer days. Starting next Tuesday everyone aged 16 and over will be able to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. We are hopeful that progress will continue to bring the community back to normal. Already, we see signs of this happening. Phase II at the Ronkonkoma Hub will shortly be underway. In April, Union Square Advertising will be relocating to their new facility on Hawkins Avenue. Renovations are being made to the Agnew & Taylor store in Town and the New York Cancer and Blood Center is the new owner. The Ronkonkoma Chamber can hardly wait to be there for these grand openings and ribbon cuttings.

Our guest speaker is Priscilla Arena, Founder and Executive Director of Specialized Autism Support & Information (SASI). April is National Autism Awareness Month. I would like to thank all of the following new Chamber members who have recently joined: Resident Bernice Daly, Resident Tom and Rosie Murphy, Super Greek NY, Park Place Payments, Mary Peck, Michele Scully Agency, Hondaman, Lake Shore Physical Therapy and Jay’s Hidden Treasures. In January the Chamber conducted a Grand Opening ribbon cutting event at Super Greek and in March a ribbon cutting event for SASI. We wish all of our new Chamber members great success.
